Project Dirt Launch

Announcing Project Dirt: an exciting new addition to the Peterborough green scene!

PECT has teamed up with Citizen Power and Project Dirt to set up a new online Network for green projects in Peterborough, which will make it incredibly easy to see in one place all the range of environmental activity that is going on within the city.

We’ll be launching Project Dirt in Peterborough at a special evening event, when we’ll also be hearing from Pam Warhurst co-founder of Incredible Edible Todmorden – the revolution in local food – and Hermione Taylor, founder of The DoNation – a new way to make sustainable living fun!

Join us to be inspired about making Peterborough the Environment Capital, and learn how to keep tabs on the green projects already going on in Peterborough. The launch will take place at the Brewery Tap on Friday 23rd March from 6:00pm onwards.

Find out more details here (https://www.citizenpower.co.uk/events/project-dirt-launch), but there’s no need to register – just come along on the night!

More about Project Dirt:

Project Dirt is an award-winning initiative, which started in London and Liverpool and is about to expand to the national scale. This will involve "rolling-out" to a number of cities across the UK, and Peterborough has been selected as the first outside of these two cities - which will enable us to build on our aspiration to be the UK's Environmental Capital.

Our plan is to develop a really lively active network of Peterborough-based people, projects and events, so that others can learn from what is going on and replicate good practice. Our members and residents will also be able to find (and connect with) other green people, projects and events they are interested in beyond Peterborough via the wider Project Dirt platform.
