Taking place in Brighton and Hove this year, large crowds came out into the sunshine on the 29 September to celebrate recovery and the lives turned around from despair and chaos to positive engagement with life and personal fulfilment.
Residents from Peterborough joined in the march and celebrations too with those from around the country.

This is what they say:
In making recovery visible and tangible by the presence of the recovery community walking through a city centre, we hope to challenge stigma, educate the wider populous and bring hope to those still struggling with substance misuse. We are also aware that the word 'recovery' is relevant to individuals and groups for different reasons but who may also at some point felt disenfranchised or marginalised from wider society; to this end we would welcome the presence and support of anyone who feels affinity or empathy with those of us recovering from addiction or alcoholism.
