Peterborough at the Hajj exhibition at British Museum

If you haven’t seen it already, it’s well worth Peterborough people trekking down to London to see the British Museum exhibition ‘Hajj: Journey to the Heart of Islam’, which is on until 15th April 2012. Open day at the Burton Street mosque, 10th July 2011

The open day at the Huseini moque on Burton Street was meticulously planned and put together, substantially through the hard work of young people. More than 150 members of the public were offered food and greeted by volunteers from the mosque community. They were given a tour of the mosque and imambargah, and given the chance to ask any un-askable questions on their mind.
