Hi Kate Sorry for belated reply. We really appreciated your point about the inclusion of the city's taxi drivers, and we had already planned to be in contact with them, and are investigating whether they might be interested in applying to be partic…

Good to see your presentation at the Creative Gathering on Monday - liking your modus operandi. I have had two thoughts whilst I have been round and about: - for the tours you mentioned that you would somehow transport the tour groups around by min…

I did try to delete my rant in response to provocative comment but my poor wifi stopped me. My secondary response was that what connects me with the city is it meets some of my needs - and that is how I would map my encounters. At first I commuted…

My first experience in Peterborough was when I was looking for a new home, moving down South from up North. We had previously avoided it and had been looking in in St Neots and Huntingdon - but felt those places were dead from the neck up. I know we…

Thanks for your comments Graeme, which do not feel like a rant at all, as all you say is logical and relevant. This was a first impression, after a particular experience, and as the project develops, other impressions (and provocations) will be shar…

Perhaps there is as need to get a more balanced view of Peterborough through the eyes of its citizens - take the bus to the local centre or village, cycle along the 'Green Wheel', walk along the footpaths, attend some of the community events of the…

Have you lived in Peterborough long?
We are not residents; visiting artists
What is your own vision for Peterborough?
A place of rich diversity, changing fast, with varied neighbourhoods that feel able to relate to each other. Citizens who have a sense of their whole city, and the land on which they live, and are able to communicate, day and night, with the heart of the city, currently cut off by habit and by busy roads.
One thing you'd like to change about the place?
Simon says: Find a way for the arrival on foot, from a train, to welcome you openly into the city - it is completely cut off and unwelcoming.
What areas of the Citizen Power project are you most interested in?
People seeing the city, and their place within it, through new eyes.
What's your favourite place to eat in Peterborough?
Not sure yet, but Central park been recommended!
Favourite place to go?
The parks
If a Martian came to Peterborough, what would you show him/her/it to explain what the place was about?
Hover above the city, in their space ship, to show them that it is one place, sharing one landscape, with people all seeking to make their lives worthwhile, whatever the perceived differences on the ground.
Tell us some more about yourself
We are artists and communicators, and part of the Encounters team delighted to be taking on a project in Peterborough which will invite citizens to deepen their own understanding of their little patch of ground, and then to share their neighbourhood with others.

Hello Kay,
I think it is a very good idea to include Peterborough born s
Based Artists for such projects too. What is your opinion?

Hi
Interested to see your comments. Would be good to cross paths - i am a Peterbough based theatre maker and have just got ACE R&D funding to create a piece about attitudes to Central Park...
Cafe in Central Park has good carrot cake if you need a "favourite place to eat..."
Best wishes
Kate
