I am really pleased that residents have begun to comment about how they want to see their villages to develop.
Few people have actually given any thought to what the villages may look like in the next 10 years. Planners seem to have their own policy 'Bung in another 50 houses' Speculative builders know they will sell four or five bedroom detached houses with no view about the impact on the villages. Personally, I think many want the villages just to be huge housing estates on the edge of the city as in the style of the Deepings
Perhaps the Neighbourhood Council could be involved?
Have anybody every asked you what you would like?

Yes, I would agree but there is little desire by parish councils to shoulder much more responsibility because they are unpaid. Also, if responsibilities are distributed then the economies of, albeit modest, would be lost
I have tried repeated to get support for new businesses in the rural area. Business Link has been very keen to help, the Women's Enterprise Centre is helping but planning considerations do pose problems as found by a new dental practice going into Helpston
