1.1. By registering on your own behalf or on behalf of others, you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and the terms and conditions of our privacy policy which are published on this website and incorporated in these Terms by reference.
1.2. UKPAC reserves the right to change, modify, add or delete parts of these Terms at any time and without further notice. Such amendments shall be effective upon posting the revised Terms on the website.
1.3. These Terms are binding on registrants.
2.1. UKPAC hereby grants you permission to use the register in accordance with these Terms, provided that: (a) you are registering as an individual member of the CIPR or (b) have authority to act on behalf of a member of the APPC (c) you remain responsible for the content of your own or your organisation’s register entry, including updating in timely fashion as and when necessary, and ensuring that those whose data are included (including clients) are aware that it is to be included, (d) you will not alter, modify, edit or otherwise change any register entry which is not your own or for which you do not have express authority, (e) you will use the register for its intended purpose and not for advertising or soliciting business and (f) that you will comply with these Terms.
3.1. To be entered on the UKPAC register, you will need to provide certain information as requested during the registration process.
3.2. If you are making an individual entry you are solely responsible and liable for any activity occurring on your entry. Whether you are an individual or authorised to act for a corporate entity, you must keep your account password secret. You must inform UKPAC of any breach of security or unauthorised use of your account. UKPAC will investigate any security breaches and we have the right to suspend or terminate an entry immediately. UKPAC will not be liable for any losses caused by the unauthorised use of your account, but you may be liable for our or other users’ costs or losses caused by such unauthorised use.
4.1. Where entering any information may expose an individual, an organisation, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, partners or agents to harm, UKPAC will at our discretion exempt such information from being placed on the register but will hold securely any such information.
5.1. You agree not to use the register for any illegal purposes and agree to use it in accordance with all relevant laws.
5.2. You agree not to enter any information into the register which will interfere with, interrupt or disrupt the normal operating procedures of a computer. This includes but is not limited to computer viruses, macro viruses, Trojan horses, worms, or links to external sites that might contain such entities.
5.3. You will not enter any material into the register which is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, libellous, threatening, harassing, racially offensive or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offence or give rise to civil liability, or is otherwise inappropriate.
5.4. You will not use the register in a manner that may cause the register or the website to be interrupted, damaged, rendered less efficient or such that the effectiveness or functionality of the register or website is any way impaired.
5.5. You will not use the register in any manner which violates or infringes the rights of any person, firm or company (including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights, confidentiality rights and privacy rights).
5.6. You agree that in the event that you have any right, claim or action against any registrant arising out of the registrant’s use of the register or website, you will pursue such right, claim or action independently of, and without recourse to UKPAC, except that you will notify UKPAC of any abuse of the register or website which gives rise to your right, claim or action.
5.7. Only data required for registration will be published. Any comments or opinions will be removed by UKPAC.
6.1. You acknowledge that the register is updated quarterly and you are responsible for ensuring your or your organisation’s entry is checked, is brought up to date and is in every respect factually correct.
6.2. You agree that any information provided may not appear on the register immediately, but will appear at the next quarterly update of the register.
6.3 You agree that all information provided in your register entry will be archived and retained for 5 years in accordance with our in accordance with our privacy policy and may be available to third parties either through interrogation of the register via the website, or upon request to UKPAC.
7.1. Links to third party websites are provided through the register and the website. You hereby agree that UKPAC is not responsible or liable for the availability of such external websites or resources and acknowledge that UKPAC does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for the practices and contents (including defamatory, libellous and infringing content) in any of the third party websites or resources, including (without limitation) any advertising, products or other materials or services on or available from such websites or resources, nor for any damage, loss or offence caused or alleged to be caused by, or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on such websites and resources.
8.1. UKPAC does not claim any proprietary rights in the entry that you register. You or your organisation retain all proprietary rights in your entry and will be solely responsible for the consequences of your entry.
9.1. UKPAC has in place a procedure by which registrants and users of the website may provide notification of any abuse and non-compliance with the Terms. If you see a register entry that is incorrect or offensive, you are requested to notify us by emailing secretary@citizenpower.co.uk.
9.2. UKPAC will try to remove or delete any such entries as soon as practicable and may take any further action as deemed necessary.
9.3. If you have any complaints related to copyright, please email secretary@citizenpower.co.uk.
10.1.1 UKPAC is not responsible for and does not endorse any of the material entered on the register and we, our officers, directors, employees, contractors, partners and agents expressly disclaim any and all liability in connection with any such material.
10.2. UKPAC does not permit infringement of intellectual property rights on the register, and we will remove any material if we are notified (using the relevant notification procedures) that it infringes another’s intellectual property rights.
10.3. UKPAC reserves the right to remove any material without prior notice. We may also terminate any registrant’s account if the registrant breaches any of these Terms.
10.4. UKPAC makes no warranties or representations, whether express or implied, as to the truth, accuracy, reliability, currency or completeness of the contents of the register and assumes no liability for any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the register or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of any use made of the register.
10.5. UKPAC will take reasonable measures to ensure the security of the UKPAC website and of any information you provide us with, but we will not be liable to you for any damages resulting from any unauthorised access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information stored in them.
10.6. UKPAC will have no liability in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence) or otherwise in connection with any part of these Terms or for any (a) economic loss, (b) loss of goodwill or reputation or (c) indirect or consequential loss arising out of these Terms, other than such as may not be limited or excluded under applicable law.
11.1 You agree to defend, indemnify and hold UKPAC, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, partners and agents, harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to legal expenses) arising out of or in connection with your registration, your use of and access to the register, any breach by you of the Terms and your violation of any third party right, including without limitation any copyright, intellectual property, or privacy right.
11.2. You agree that your obligation to indemnify us will continue even after this Agreement is terminated.
12.1. UKPAC aims to comply with the applicable Data Protection legislation from time to time in place.
12.1. We will disclose your personal data if we are requested to do so by law or by any regulatory or governmental authority, or upon receipt of a court order or a legitimate request by a third party (for example, the police) in investigating illegal activities to provide information concerning your registration.
12.2. We reserve the right to notify or provide information to the relevant authority if we believe that you have carried out or are in the process of carrying out any illegal activity.
12.3. UKPAC reserves the right to store any data submitted solely for our own internal purposes and we reserve the right to access, monitor and retrieve password protected information in order to fulfil our obligations, both legal and as established under these Terms.
13.1. UKPAC may remove your registration immediately and without notice (without prejudice to our other rights and remedies).

14.1.If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable as a matter of law, all other parts of these Terms shall not be affected and shall remain in force.
15.1. These Terms (as amended from time to time) are exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales whose courts will have exclusive jurisdiction in any dispute or any proceedings arising out of or in connection with these Terms, save that we have the right to commence and pursue proceedings in alternative jurisdictions.
