The UK Public Affairs Council (UKPAC) promotes and upholds effective self-regulation for those professionally engaged in public affairs.
Born out of the Public Administration Select Committee's recommendation for there to be a public register of lobbyists, UKPAC was created by three representative bodies in the industry. UKPAC’s current members are the Association of Professional Political Consultants (APPC) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
Other bodies may join UKPAC if they wish. UKPAC is overseen by a board comprising three independent members, including the Chairman, and representatives of each of the industry bodies.
The UKPAC register is the only online, searchable and regularly updated register covering agencies, individuals and clients.
In June 2019, UKPAC announced plans to open up its register to all those who lobby. Details about how you can register can be found here . CIPR members who wish to register please click here.
